SMARTape 应变传感器专为长距离分布式变形（平均应变）监测而设计，使用 BOTDR / BOTDA（布里渊散射）技术。它用于光滑表面上的表面安装或嵌入复合材料中。
SMARTape 传感器由嵌入玻璃纤维增强聚合物/环氧树脂胶带中的单模光纤组成。胶带本身提供高机械、化学和温度耐受性。胶带尺寸小，使传感器易于运输和安装。SMARTape II 传感器专为民用和石油天然气工程中常见的恶劣环境而设计。它通常粘接到结构上，但也可夹持或嵌入复合材料中。
SMARTape 传感器以卷盘形式交付，并附带所有必要配件，如密封螺母（IP65）、尾纤和连接器（E-2000、FC-PC 或其他按需定制）。
